This Privacy Policy explains what information Raspberry API collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be clear about what we do.
Account information: when you sign up we store your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile image from Google — we never see your Google password.
Authentication: passwords for email/password accounts are stored only as a salted hash and are never kept in plain text.
Usage: we keep a count of API requests made with your key so we can show your usage and operate the Service. We do not sell your personal data.
We use your information to create and secure your account, provide and improve the Service, show your dashboard and usage, communicate important updates, and prevent abuse.
We rely on a small number of providers to run the Service. These are the ones that can process data on our behalf: OVH (hosting, France) for the servers; Google for optional sign-in and for sending transactional email; and Stripe for payments, which handles card details directly — we never see or store your card number.
To produce the market intelligence itself we also use: RapidAPI as the access layer for public X (Twitter) posts; DeepSeek, which runs the model that classifies and summarises that public text; and Financial Modeling Prep and Nasdaq for market and earnings data. These process public source content, not the personal data of your account.
Naming these providers here, and not in the product documentation, is deliberate. This is the page where a customer has a right to know who touches the data; the API responses and the product docs state the category of a source (X posts, news, SEC filings, market data) rather than the supplier, because the supplier can change without the meaning of a response changing.
Market intelligence is derived from public posts, published financial news (including Yahoo Finance, MarketScreener, TradingKey, MarketBeat and Google News), market data and official SEC EDGAR filings. That source content is not personal data you provide directly to us.
If we add or replace a sub-processor we will update this list and the “last updated” date above.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us; we will remove it unless we are required to retain it by law.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including hashed passwords and restricted access to credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email rasberrytrades@gmail.com.
